Rosemary Rivera started writing at 7 years old, mostly sing-songy rhymes and short stories inspired by things she read. She thought she wanted to be a teacher, but being the firstborn of three sisters who shared one room inspired her to seek a more solitary vocation. When she writes nonfiction, it’s personal essays or interviews, some of which you’ll find here. When she writes fiction, it takes lots of forms; development for TV series, animated films, picture books, and even a web comic about life as an autism family. Her debut picture book, Myra and the Drawing Drama, hits bookstores during fall 2022, in Spanish and English. In early 2023 “Myra and the Drawing Drama” makes its debut as a musical!
